The LLMSOCIETY end of the year party,2008 was held at the Tunnels Club in style.The party commenced with an opening speach by the President,followed by the opening of the dance floor by the members of the Executive.Then the dance floor became electrified with Lawyers showcasing their dancing skills.Afterwards,it was time for refreshment and the audience was held to a memorable marshal arts performance by Senseisan Jianliang,from China with everyone asking for more.As if that was not enough,the dance floor was thrown open again,and members swung into action,trying to out-do one another in the latest dance step in town.Meanwhile,some dance-shy members dutifully clung to the Bar trying out some intercontinental blend.
At about 11pm,the nominations for the Mr&Ms LLMSOCIETY contest was received from secret Judges who had been deployed amongst the crowd.The contestants were presented to the audience and were allowed to canvase for votes in 15minutes.At the end of the campaigne time,the entire crowd voted for each contestant as they were called upon to make a short presentation.When the result was announced,Mr.Aibe Dangana emerged the winner of Mr llmsociety while Ms Mayra Juanita Vega became Ms llmsociety.The winners were crowned and presented with a gift.The party ended at about 12pm.
According to most members who attended,it was a lovely party with enough to eat and eventually succeeded in taking their mind away from the pressures of LLM Degree programme.
In that vien they wish that such an electrified gathering can happen regularly.
